The path to wellness is uncovered by the conscious decision of taking the first step.

About

Miesha Quinones

I understand how difficult it can be in searching for a therapist that feels like the right fit. The most important thing to me, and about my approach, is that the relationship between myself and my clients is equally as important as providing services. I use an easy manner, warmth, honesty, humor (as appropriate), and a direct approach when working with clients. My goal is to provide a safe emotional environment that is optimal for healing. With that being said, I also understand that I will not always be a match for each person I have the opportunity to work with and that therapy alone, at times may not be enough. It is important for you, as a client, to feel have the best fit that meets your needs, and if it is determined that we are not a match, I am willing to provide you with resources for other providers.  I have experience with different treatment modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic and Post-Modern approaches.  I tailor my treatment approach to what elicits the most effective outcomes for my clients.

01.

I work with individuals from the age range of 18 and older. My focus of treatment is with depression, anxiety, anger, work stressors, stage of life difficulties, and relational issues. I have experience working with several modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy.

Family therapy is offered to parent(s)/caregiver and child/ren relationships. Family therapy can be focused on reducing conflict and increasing effective communication, parenting issues, coping with stage of life changes, and so on.  I see any variation of family units (nuclear, blended, adoptive, single parent, and extended). *I do not, however, make any decisions regarding custody disputes.

03.

I am currently providing telehealth services, due to the state of emergency. All telehealth sessions are conducted through HIPAA compliant platforms. While it may differ from an in-person experience, you will benefit from support, from the comfort of your own home.
